Finding a vape shop in Indianapolis
Indianapolis is Indiana's capital and largest city, and its vape shops, smoke shops and tobacco retailers are spread across the whole metro area. This guide covers Downtown around Monument Circle, Broad Ripple and Fountain Square as well as the northern suburbs of Fishers and Carmel, with the opening hours, phone numbers and addresses we hold.
Check each listing before you travel: opening hours are shown in the shop's local time zone, and fields we do not know are marked as unknown rather than filled in with a default.
Vape laws in Indiana
Indiana has no statewide flavour ban on vape products, so all flavours are legal for sale to adults 21 and older.
Indiana's vape tax doubled from 15% to 30% effective 1 July 2025. Open-system e-liquids are taxed at 30% of gross retail income and closed-system cartridges at 30% of the wholesale price. With the 7% state sales tax on top, Indiana carries a significant tax burden on vape products.
Effective 1 July 2026, Senate Enrolled Act 185 prohibits making, distributing and selling e-liquid or vapour products containing ingredients sourced from countries designated as foreign adversaries, including China, Russia, North Korea and Iran. FDA-authorised products are exempt, but the law affects the availability of many disposable vape brands.
E-liquids above 75 mg/mL nicotine concentration are prohibited.
The minimum purchase age is 21 under federal Tobacco 21 law. Indianapolis is one of more than 20 Indiana cities with a local indoor vaping ban, even though Indiana has no statewide one; the city's Smoke Free Air ordinance covers e-cigarettes in most public indoor spaces.
Vape and tobacco rules change often and can differ between a city, county and state. This summary is general information, not legal advice, and is not a verification of any shop's licence. Confirm current requirements with the relevant state or local authority, and always be ready to show government-issued photo ID proving you are of legal purchase age.
